About us

A royal decree was issued in 2019 to establish the National Center for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Development (Estidama) with the aim of conducting applied research to develop innovative agricultural solutions and supporting research for sustainable and resilient food systems. The center focuses on food security, promoting sustainable ecological agricultural systems, and implementing measures to mitigate the effects of climate change and adapt to it. Estidama strives to adopt and test new technologies that enhance sustainable agricultural practices in a number of areas, including increasing crop yields per unit area, improving integrated water management in agriculture by enhancing water use efficiency and halting the depletion of freshwater resources in the Kingdom.

Product Test Request

The service aims to benefit from the expertise of the research team at the center, by testing the product either in laboratories or by evaluating the product and its effectiveness in agricultural research.

Request a visit

Requesting a visit to the center from beneficiaries from government agencies, the private sector, farmers, and students, and coordinating with the relevant administration to determine the appropriate date for the visit.

Request a field visit

The service aims to enhance communication with beneficiaries by having specialists at the center conduct a field visit to the beneficiaries and enhance the benefit by spreading knowledge to achieve the goals of sustainable agriculture.

Request for workshops

Receiving requests to hold specialized workshops in the agricultural field to exchange knowledge

Request for participation

Receiving the center’s request to participate in local and international exhibitions, working on studying the feasibility of participation, and completing the procedures with the relevant administration.

Request for consultation

Follow up on consultation requests from beneficiaries and transfer them to the relevant department
